Whether you’re just starting out or already have your fundraiser up and running, we’re here to help you succeed. Fundraisers on FundFlow have shown great success when they follow these key steps:

  1. Craft Your Story in 1-3 Paragraphs
  2. Share Your Campaign Early and Often
  3. Post an Update as early as possible
  4. Set Up Bank Transfers

Create Compelling Content

To attract and engage supporters, you need to tell a compelling story. Remember, you can always update your campaign details throughout your fundraising journey.

Share Your Story

  • Use sincere and heartfelt language to describe your fundraiser’s purpose in 1-3 paragraphs.
  • Clearly state in your title and initial sentences why you need help and the impact it will have. Answer the “who, what, when, where, and why” concisely so that potential donors can quickly understand.
  • Explain how the funds will be used. For example, “The funds will go directly into my bank account to cover medical expenses.”

Choose a Captivating Image

  • Select a clear and appealing photo to attract donors. Pictures of people often have a stronger impact than images of objects or text.

Set a Realistic Goal

  • Start with a modest goal and mention in your story that it may increase as the fundraiser progresses. If you update your goal, explain the reason in an update to your donors.

Share, Share, Share

Once your content is ready, start sharing it immediately. Reach out to potential donors in multiple places and more than once. Always include your campaign link.

Connect with Your Inner Circle

  • Reach out personally (through texts, emails, and phone calls) to friends, family, and neighbors, asking them to be the first to donate and share your fundraiser. This builds essential early momentum.

Leverage Social Media

  • Social media is a powerful tool for spreading the word about your campaign. Post on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, NextDoor, and LinkedIn. If you don’t use social media, ask friends who do to share your campaign link.

Engage with Your Donors

Donors appreciate updates and engagement. Keep them informed by posting updates, ideally within the first week, and continue interacting with them.

Post Regular Updates

  • Posting updates can encourage new donations. When you update your campaign, it appears on your fundraiser page, and an email is sent to all your donors. You can also choose to share updates on your social media accounts. Be creative and post various updates every few days or weekly.

Set Up Bank Transfers

Ensure the funds reach you or your beneficiary by adding bank information to your FundFlow account.

Enter Your Bank Information

  • Provide accurate bank details that match your government-issued ID. Our payment partner uses this information for verification. Set up and verify transfers before the refund deadline in your FundFlow account, noting that verification may take a few days.

Add a Beneficiary

  • If you’re raising money for someone else, add them as a beneficiary so they can transfer funds directly to their bank account. Adding a beneficiary early helps build trust with potential donors as they see exactly where the money is going.

Follow these steps to maximize the success of your FundFlow fundraiser. We wish you the best of luck in your fundraising endavours!
